Hello everyone, I am a blogger living in Taipei, Taiwan.

It is another popular digital nomad destination, along with Chiang Mai.

Ask me anything about life here, running a blog, and if anyone is interested I’m currently also setting up an e-commerce site to sell my sewing creations.

What are your favourite places to visit in Taiwan? What area of Taipei are you living in? Do you speak Mandarin?

I’ve also been curious about living there 🙂

I love Taroko National Park and Taroko Gorge, and Sun Moon Lake. Taipei 101 is a very impressive building and I’ve also been to the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas which are beautiful.

      I live in Danshui.

I do reasonably okay now, but not when I first came here! I’m still struggling with reading, but getting there slowly. There’s just a lot of characters to learn. Though script is a beautiful writing system.

How long were you growing your blog for before you were able to start living the nomad life and moved to Taiwan? What mistakes did you make and what advice would you give to people starting a blog?

I spent 6 months growing my blog before I was earning enough to become a nomad. I also left with savings, I didn’t risk anything.

My biggest mistake was probably focusing on multiple social media channels and growing none well instead of focusing on one, and not having a product sooner. My biggest advice for people starting out is to follow the 80/20 rule in everything, but especially with social media. Focus 80% of your effort on the platform getting you your best results, and only 20% of your effort on the others.
